Add cattle by purchase

Record a bought animal with the seller, price, photos and signature, straight into your herd.

Every animal you buy gets a complete purchase record: who sold it, what you paid, what it looked like, and a signature to confirm the deal. This record follows the animal for life and feeds straight into profit calculations when it is eventually sold.
- 1Open Livestock and choose Cattle.
- 2Tap add, and choose From purchase.
- 3Pick the seller from your suppliers, or add a new one on the spot.
- 4Fill in the animal's details — breed, sex, weight and price. The app generates a unique tag for the animal.
- 5Add photos of the animal if you want a visual record.
- 6Sign to confirm the purchase, and save.
Tip: If the animal is joining a fattening lot or another cycle, assign it to the project during the purchase — its records are then grouped with the rest of the lot from day one.
